We even had incredible massages using a traditional calabash! We really couldn't ask for more for a weekend away. We were privileged to see the Big 5 over our 2 night stay. Our guide was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us the best of the reserve and look for animals. Heritage day allowed us to have a wonderful cultural display of traditional outfits and dancing by the staff. We feasted on delicious food for all meals, very creative and fresh that we had out under the stars where possible. Our first game drive started with a sighting of lions mating and ended with a leopard cub hiding in the bushes on the side of the road. What a wonderful surprise to find a beautiful lodge surrounded by mountains with welcoming hosts and staff who took care of our every need. Coming from Mozambique it was not a difficult drive via Hluhluwe to follow the signs from directions. Beautiful Bayala - Bayala safari lodge is tucked away in the Mun-ya-wana game reserve in KZN.
